LAKEVIEW EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

The Lakeview Earth Day Celebration is happening Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Blaine Elementary parking lot, and it’s built around the kind of practical sustainability effort parents can actually use.

The event includes electronics recycling, a houseware donation drive, and local sustainability partners on-site, and yes, they’ll help unload your car. So you can roll up slightly chaotic, trunk packed, baby in the car seat or stroller, and still feel like you have your life together.

Electronics recycling is being handled by Newtech E-Scrap Recycling, a local company that processes items for reuse and responsible disposal.

Quick heads up: skip bringing light bulbs and batteries. Those are usually handled through separate city recycling programs.

Everything gets sorted for responsible recycling or reuse, so it’s not just ending up in a landfill somewhere.
