A curated neighborhood art fair with 75+ artists, kid-friendly activities, and an easy daytime setup that won’t take over your whole day.

The Lincoln Roscoe Art + Craft Fair sets up right at the intersection of Lincoln and Roscoe, right between Lakeview and Roscoe Village. It gets busy, but not in a way that makes you regret bringing a stroller.

This one’s put on by the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce and it’s a juried art fair with around 75 artists. The booths lean heavily toward handmade and original work, so it feels more like a place you might actually find something you want to bring home versus just pass by.

But it’s not just browsing booths. There’s live music all weekend, painting classes you can actually join on-site, and a handful of interactive things mixed in like face painting, selfie setups, and even personalized poems. It leans just enough into “activity” without turning into chaos.

For kids, there’s a dedicated Kid’s Art Zone with projects run by local spots like Tutu School and the Lake View YMCA, plus face painting and other hands-on activities.

Food and drink are covered. It’s your usual festival setup, plus a legit beer lineup curated by Bitter Pops.

It also runs earlier than a typical Chicago street fest, which makes a difference with kids. You’re not dealing with late-night crowds or a vibe shift as the day goes on.

Entry is a suggested $10 donation, and we’ll say this plainly: if you’re able, you should donate. These neighborhood events don’t just happen for free. If you genuinely can’t swing it, no one’s gatekeeping you. But if you skip the donation, don’t let me catch you buying a beer.

A few things to know before you go:

  • Go earlier if you want more space to browse
  • Very walkable and stroller-friendly, plus easy access from the Paulina Brown Line stop
  • Don’t show up too late. This isn’t one of those fests that lingers into the evening. It’s fully wrapped by 6pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday, and it clears out fast
  • Easy to pop in, do a loop, and leave before anyone hits a wall

This is a good one when you want something that feels like a plan, but still keeps your day flexible.
